Caffe Medici

Coffee & espresso

Story by Latte Up July 10th, 2016

Become one with Austin’s downtown yuppies by ordering the quintessential Caffe Medici cappuccino. Dedicated to perfection, they are very particular about each and every detail when it comes to their espresso, which is a “sweet and fruity blend with a chocolate finish” by Cuvee named, what else, Espresso Medici. Besides perfection, the baristas are also dedicated to education, and they host regular cuppings to teach you how to appreciate a perfect cup of coffee.

The coffee bar is situated as it’s own island in the middle of the floor, featuring three beautiful La Marzocco FB 80’s espresso machines. Drip coffee is the Spicewood 71 Classic blend, French pressed of course, but if you want to be extra high maintenance, you can also get any of the whole bean coffees they sell pressed.

The classier, modern urban environment makes it an inviting place to sit, enjoy a coffee, and leave soon after your cup’s empty. Some people still choose to camp out here all day (there’s easy access to both wifi and outlets), but it’s not designed for an all-day sipping session. And just because it’s Austin, you’ll also find beer and breakfast tacos.
